Ten people have been martyred and several others injured in a suicide blast at a Muharram (Azadari) procession near an Imambargah in Dhok Sayidan area of Rawalpindi Wednesday night, to mark the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) grandson of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
The suicide blast occurred near Qasr-e-Shabbir Imambargah Rawalpindi, hours after twin bomb blasts near an Imambargah Shian-e-Haidar-e-Karar in Karachi martyred two people and left 30 others wounded.
The suicide bomber entered into the Muharram procession and detonated the explosives strapped to his body, Eye Witnesses said.

Rescue and emergency teams have kicked off their services as ambulances have become engaged in shifting the injured to District Headquarters Hospitals (DHQ).
Security forces have surrounded the area to and trying to preserve the evidence by clearing the area of the people.
