Thousands of the faithfuls from across the country have attended the 27th Martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Quaid Allama Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini held at Islamabad. The mammoth event was organised by leading Shiite religio-political party Majlis-e-Wehdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan at Pakistan’s capital Islamabad to commemorate the Martyrdom anniversary of slain Shiite Cleric and Chief Of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqah-e-Jafaria (TNFJ) Pakistan. Shaheed Quaid Allama Arif Hussaini Al-Hussaini was gunned down by the US funded terrorists on August 5, 1988 at Peshawar.
The “Bedari-e-Ummat conference” which was organised by the Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) commenced on Sunday with the slogan Of `down with America`to renew the pledge with the slain shiite leader Allama Arif Hussaini, who was the staunch opponent of United States and Israel by following the footsteps of late Imam Khomeni (ra). The speakers in the conference vowed that they would continue to raise their voice against the US and its allies conspiracies against Muslims and oppressed people of the world. They announced that America has brought too much suffering to Muslims around the world.
But even with the old rhetoric, the MWM managed to gather a large number of men, women and children, in addition to party workers.
At the conference, the only break in tradition from other gatherings of Shia political and social groups was that tea was being sold, rather than being distributed for free by philanthropists and volunteers.
In his fiery speech, MWM Secretary General Allama Nasir Abbas lashed out against successive governments for failing to uncover the conspiracy which resulted in the assassination of Allama Hussaini.
Allama Nasir Abbas claimed that India, Iraq and the United States jointly conspired to murder Allama Hussaini. `But the real culprits are the authorities in this country who have made personal gains from pitching Shias and Sunnis against one another, he said.
`But Shias are clearly living like brothers with Sunnis and they are also not involved in terrorism,` he added.
But he lamented that terrorist groups are still receiving support from authorities and criticisedthe Punjab government for its blanket action against clerics under the guise of terrorism and sectarianism.
`Rather than silencing the voice of miscreants, who preach sectarianism and hatred against others, the Punjab government took action under the loudspeaker act. Even those reciting Naat or Noha were criticised, Allama Abbas said.
MWM Deputy Secretary General Allama Amin Shaheedi said those who have been bred in cantonments are now shifting their loyalties from Taliban and other banned groups to Islamic State (IS).
ISO Pakistan Central President Tahwar Abbas, IO Chairman Lal Mehdi, Al-Arif Academy Chairman Maulana Shabir Raza Bukhari, MWM Central Political Secretary Nasir Abbas Sherazi, Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rezavi, Maulana Ejaz Hussain Behishti, and others addressed the mammoth gathering held on 27th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Allama Arif Hussaini.
Amid the threats of terrorism and suicide attack, the presence of thousands of faithfuls in the MWM’s organized “Bedari-e-Ummat conference” on 27th Martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Quaid Allama Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini once again proved the popularity of leading Shiite religio-Political party among the Shiite Muslims of Pakistan and the community commitment with its slain leader Allama Shaheed Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini.
