The leader of Majlis e Wahdat e Muslimeen Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri expressed his thoughts on the auspicious occasion of 68th Independence Day. In a statement issued from the central secretariat, he congratulated the people of Pakistan and asked them to make a pledge for the safety, security, survival and progress of Pakistan and to fight its enemies. He further said that we should present Pakistan, to the world, as an Islamic state according to the wishes of Quaid. The independent country that Allama Iqbal (rh) had dreamed of and that Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (rh) left to us, is now entangled in terrorism, lawlessness, corruption and other such diseases. It is an extremely sad and bitter reality that even the powerful departments are not faithful to the country.
Allama Nasir Jafri also said that the Independence Day demands the people of Pakistan, once again, to refresh the pledge that they had made 7 years ago during the freedom movement. The people of this country althought got freedom from the British but, now they have become slaves of the U.S. Is this for which people made sacrifices? Not at all, it is the result of poor domestic and foreign policies whose result are being faced by one hundred and eighty million people of Pakistan.
Allama Nasir Jafri said that terrorism has been made the fate of this country, corruption is destroying it, and justice has become obsolete. This Independence Day, every patriotic Shia, Sunni, Hindu, Sikh, and Christian should promise to take practical measures and make collective efforts to get rid of terrorism. This country was Allah’s blessing for the people of the sub-continent and the enemies of this country will have to see the failure.
While condemning the Indian militancy along the Line of Control, he said that India should beware of those who are faithful to this country and who have never compromised on the country and have always defended it from the front. India should remember that each and every citizen and child will sacrifice its life for Pakistan, in case of any increased Indian aggression.
