Shia and Sunni Muslims of Jammu Kashmir jointly organized mourning congregation in remembrance of Imam Hussain (as)
First of its kind mourning congregation took place in Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir in remembrance of Imam Hussain (as) and his companions which was jointly organized by both Shia and Sunni Muslims and senior religious scholars of both Ahl e Sunnat and Ahl e tashaii payed homage to Imam Hussain (as) and his companions. A large number of people from both the sects attended the congregation. The President of Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad al Muslimeed Molana Masroor Abbas Ansari while talking about the philosophy of Karbala and Ashura said “Imam Hussain (as)’s message of martyrdom and the way His family members, who were prisoned, preached the great sacrifice has been the guiding light for the whole humanity”.
Molana Nisar Ahmed of Tehreek Saut Hamdan while talking about the love of Ahl e Bait (as) in light of Quran and Ahadees said “Allah (swt) has declared the love of Ahl e Bait (as) as obligatory in Quran and we should always remember the sacrifice of Prophet (PBUH)’s grandson”. Molana Shafee Naimi emphasized in light of Quran that martyrs are alive and Imam Hussain (as)’s mission and message needs to be spread. The leader of Friday prayers Kerari Petan Mufti Sharif ul Haq Bukhari said “Such jointly organized mourning congregations are the need of the time in order to fight against the enemy forces that have been creating differences and conflicts among Muslims because we all worship the same one GOD, believe in the Last Prophet (PBUH), in one Holy Book and the same Qibla and Fiqhi and other secondary religious differences could not create conflicts between us”.
He also paid tribute to Imam Hussain (as) and other martyrs of Karbala and said “Imam (as) paid huge sacrifices in Karbala for Haq and truth to prevail and that invite us to unitedly defend the Islam and Muslims of the whole world. Islam has always been against the oppression and injustices and Karbala teaches us the same lesson”.
