Countywide sit-in ends after burial of the martyrs of Hazara Town Tragedy

sit in endShia Muslims ended the sit-in across Pakistan on Wednesday which they began staging on Sunday on a call from Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen that was endorsed by Quetta Yakjehti Council, Shia Ulema Council and other Shia groups.
The end to sits-in was announced after the interment of all the martyrs of Hazara Town Tragedy in Quetta. On Tuesday, Governor Balochistan Zulfiqar Magsi and Federal Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira had announced meeting all legitimate demands of the Shia leadership that included army operation against the terrorists, compensation to the heirs of martyrs and others.
Allama Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general of the MWM, on behalf of Shia leadership announced that all of them agreed to end the sit-in after the government assured meeting all demands. It was announced there that 150 terrorists were arrested in a targeted operation and four of the terrorists were killed in shootout.
In Karachi, the commercial hub of Pakistan, sits-in were staged at 27 places. They included: Incholi Super Highway, Ayesha Manzil Chowrangi, Numaish Chowrangi, Three Swords Chowrangi Clifton, Rizvia Chowrangi Nazimabad, 5 Star Chowrangi North Nazimabad, Orangi Town, Liaquatabad NO.4, Hussainia Sajjadia, Peoples Chowrangi, Power House North Karachi, Johar Turning, Kamran Chowrangi, Expo Centre and Metro University Road, Falaknaz Plaza Shahrah-e-Faisal, Star Gate, Malir 15 National Highway, Steel Town.
In Quetta, the heirs of the martyrs and their supporters were protesting at sit-in at Hazara Town along with the coffins of the martyrs and another sit in was being staged at Alamdar Road. Allama Amin Shaheedi, Qayoom Changezi, Allama Juma Asadi, Allama Ramzan Toqeer, Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Allama Maqsood Domki, Allama Hashim Moosavi and several others eminent scholars were there. Allama Sajid Naqvi had reached Quetta to attend chehlum of martyrs of Alamdar Road.
Shiites of Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa province staged sit-in outside Provincial Assembly Building.
Shia Muslims of Punjab, like Shiites of Sindh province jammed all main highways, blocked roads leading to Lahore Airport and railway stations. No train from Karachi could leave for upcountry. Sit-in was staged outside Governor House and Lahore Airport.
Sits-in were staged in all districts headquarters and big and small cities of Sindh and Punjab.
Shia Muslims of Gilgit-Baltistan blocked all main highways and their sits-in blocked the Kargil Road too.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, MQM, PML-Functional, PMLQ, Tehrik-e-Insaf, Jamaat-e-Islami and almost all the known political and religious parties mainly Sunni Ittehad Council and Sunni Tehrik supported the sit-in and demands of the protestors. They expressed solidarity with the martyrs of Hazara Town and demanded army operation and army control over Quetta.
Chief Justice of Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of Hazara Town massacre. Supreme Court has rejected the superficial measures of the government that is transfer of IG Balochistan and posting of new one.
Hundreds of thousands of women along with their minor children accentuated the strength of the sit-in. They demanded that the terrorists be hanged publicly.
Shia leadership has thanked to all the Pakistanis for their all out support to the protest in favour of victims of Hazara Town tragedy.
