Millions of people observed Friday as a day of loyalty with martyrs of Abbas Town Tragedy and a day of protest against terrorism on a call on Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen. The mourners, protestors and ordinary people lit the earthen lamp to express their sympathy, support and solidarity with the martyrs, their heirs and the injured victims of the tragedy. Nohas were recited to pay homage to the martyrs of Abbas Town Tragedy. Condolence meetings and congregations and protest demonstrations were held in the city like other parts of Pakistan. Many other organizations joined the MWMâ€™s supporters protest and loyalty day. They were lifting banners and placards and raised slogans in favour of their demands for a countrywide military operation against the terrorists and immediate rehabilitation of the victims affected by Abbas Town Tragedy. â€œWe salute the martyrs, heirs of martyrs and injured of the Abbas Town tragedy and other tragedies,â€ said Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, secretary general, MWM Karachi chapter speaking at a demonstration at Abbas Town near the site of blast. Nasir Shirazi, central political secretary of the MWM assured the protestors that the MWM would not leave the heirs of martyrs and the injured victims of the blast alone. â€œWe are followers of Imam Hussain (AS) and we have learnt from Hazrat Abbas (AS) how to remain loyal to the infallible leadership and Ummatâ€™s collective cause,â€ he said. Maulana Ali Anwar Jafri also spoke and vowed that the relief activities would be continued till the rehabilitation of last affected person of the tragedy. Shia Muslims took out a rally from Hussaini Jamey Masjid Ice Depot Malir area where Allama Agha Hassan Salahuddin, central leader of the MWM spoke. After Friday prayers, multitudes of Shia Muslims gathered outside Khoja Jamey Masjid Kharadar where Maulana Ali Murtaza Zaidi, spoke. Similarly, demonstrations were held outside Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Iman, Sadat Colony, Drigh Road, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi, Jafar-e-Tayyar, Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Reports from all over Pakistan say that Loyalty and Protest Day was observed with reverence. Quran Khwani and fateha khwani were held and protest walks were staged in all big and small cities of Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Parachinar, and parts of Baluchistan and Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa. They demanded that without any delay, all the affected persons be compensated. Their homes must be rebuilt and repaired. The injured and heirs of the martyrs be given the compensatory amount announced by the high echelons of the government. Treatment of the injured and expenses of the education of children of the martyrs be borne by the government and heirs/relatives of the martyrs be given government jobs. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri thanked people to express solidarity with the Shia Muslims against their genocide at the hands of takfiri terrorists.
