To mark solidarity with oppressed Palestinians on “Nakba Day,” Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) announces a referendum against imminent existential threat that Zionist regime of Israel poses to humanity on, May 14, 2010 Pakistani students’ organizations have unanimously decided to observe Black Day on Youm-e-Nakba as a token of solidarity with oppressed Palestinians and condemnation for Israel. Every year, the Palestinian Arabs observe the day of Nakba (Catastrophe) in commemoration of Zionist Jewish terrorism perpetrated by Zionist terrorist outfits such as Hagana that forced 700,000 to 800,000 Palestinians of Palestinians to flee their anectsral. Nakba Day is marked to condemn establishment of Israel, an illegitimate, immoral and inhuman Zionist occupation of Palestine in the name of Jewish homeland, in 1948. Those attended the joint meeting to discuss course of action for support to the just Palestine Cause were: PLFâ€™s representatives Sabir Karbalai, Haider Zaidi, Peoples Students Federation (PSF)’s President Faisal Sheikh, Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT)’s Shura Leader Abdullah Shujaat, Anjuman Talba-e-Islam (ATI)’s Provincial President Obaid Noorani, Muslim Students Federation (MSF-N) Central Information Secretary Khalil Satti, Pukhtoon Students Federation (PSF-Pukhtoon)’s central leader Bakhtawer Shah and Imamia Students Organization Karachiâ€™s President Zain Ansari. As a matter of fact, many Students organisations that joined hands to uphold the just cause of Palestine are stundents wings of mainstream parties of the ruling coalition and the Opposition. Peoples Students Federation (PSF) is student wing of Benazir Bhutto’s Pakistan Peoples Party, Muslim Students Federation (MSF-N) is student wing of Nawaz Sharif-led PMLN (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz), Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) is Jamaat-e-Islami’s student wing. Anjuman Talba-e-Islam (ATI) is closer to Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) and the JI and JUP were allies in the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA). Pukhtoon Student Federation (PSF) is close to Awami National Party (ANP). The students want unity to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and liberate Palestine from illegitimate Zionist occupation. Apart from observance of black day on May 14, they also decided web-polling referendum on â€œIsrael poses serious and imminent existential threat to humanity.â€™â€™ The web-polling for referendum will be held from May 1 to May 12 on Palestine Foundation Pakistanâ€™s website www.plfpakistan.com. Publicity campaign has been launched for huge turnout in the referendum. PLF officials said they’ll announce the result of referendum on May 13 at a press conference at Karachi Press Club with PLFâ€™s guardian council and working committee that comprise of representatives from different political and religious parties of Pakistan. On May 14, students’ organizations will observe black day and stage demonstrations. On May 15, a huge rally will be staged under the aegis of Palestine Foundation at Karachi Press Club. Political and religious parties’ high officials will speak. Countrywide protest and rallies will continue to be staged on May 16.
