Rallies across Pakistan, AJK to express solidarity with Syria and Egypt

To mark the protest day, rallies and demonstrations were staged across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, after Friday prayers.
Main rally was staged in Karachi where thousands of the protestors gathered outside Khoja Isna Ashri Masjid in Kharadar after Friday prayers. They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with the slogans against the U.S., Israel and Saudi monarchs. They were also raising slogans against the U.S.-led anti-Syria and anti-Egypt alliance.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, deputy secretary general and the spokesman for the MWM spoke to the protestors. He condemned the hypocrisy and double standard of the U.S.-led alliance.

“In Syria, they are trying to punish Syrian regime for their support to the armed resistance against Zionist occupier and in Egypt they are trying to impose a pro-Israel regime under Hosni Mubarak like strongman,” he said.

Allama Naqvi said that Shiites of Pakistan express solidarity with President Bashar al Assad who is engaged in a counter terrorism war in his Arab Muslim country. He said that Shiites express solidarity with the oppressed people of Egypt being victimized due to their anti-Israel and anti-U.S. stance.

Shia Muslims also staged rallies in Malir Ice Depot, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Landhi, Korangi, Drigh Road, New Karachi and Sadat Colony.

Sindh-wide details are: In Hyderabad, rally was held from Qadamgah to Koh-e-Noor, In Tando Mohammad Khan, the rally was staged from Wahdat House to Press Club, In Larkana, rally was held from Masjid-e-Jafaria to Press Club,

In Matli of district Badin, the rally was staged from Masjid Quba to Press Club. In Sukkur, Shia Muslims began their rally from Hyderi Masjid that was culminated at Press Club. In Khairpur, the people rallies outside Jamia Masjid. In Jamshoro, the demonstration was held outside Shia Mosque. In Kandh Kot, rally was staged from Imam Bargah Karbala to Tower Chowk and in Shikarpur, demonstration was held outside Imam Bargah Karbala.

Speaking at the rallies, Allama Mukhtar Imami and Allama Imdad Naseemi and other leaders of the MWM, said that people of Pakistan and AJK acted upon the call of Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, head of the MWM and came out on streets to observe the protest day to vent anger on the most-hated U.S.-led alliance of Imperialists-Zionists and Wahhabis.

Punjab: In Lahore, thousands of Shiites rallied at Shabab Chowk Samanabad.
In Rawalpindi, thousands of Shia Muslims marched from Press Club to Liaquat Bagh.
In Sargodha, the rally was brought out from 7th Block Imam Bargah to Press Club.
Jhang, Islamia School to Ayoob Chowk,

In Sahiwal, the rally was held at Noor Shah. In Chiniot, the protestors marched from outside Masjid Sahib Zaman to Tasil Chowk

Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi, Allama Asghar Askari and Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi spoke to the demonstrators and condemned the wars on Muslim nations and alliance of some Muslim rulers with the anti-Islam imperialists and Zionists.

Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa: Thousands of people participated in the rally in Haripur’s Imamia Masjid to Markazi Chowk G.T. Road. Rallies were staged in Peshawar, Hangu and Dera Ismail Khan of the KPK province and also in Parachinar of the FATA.

Baluchistan: Shia Muslims of Quetta also staged rallies on Alamdar Road, Mechanki Road, and Hazara Town. Allama Maqsood Domki, Allama Hashim Moosavi and MPA Mohammad Raza spoke at the rallies.

Gilgit-Baltistan: Allama Rahat Hussaini, Allama Ali Rizvi, and other scholars, spoke at the rallies in Gilgit, Skardu and at other places and condemned the Zionists-Capitalists alliance with Takfiri Salafi Wahhabi terrorists.

In AJK, rallies were taken out in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Hattiyan, Neelum, Kotli and Bagh. Allama Tasawur Javadi and other speakers vowed to defend oppressed Muslim nations of the world come what may.
