Retired Shia Brigadier, wife and 2 daughters shot martyred in Rawalpindi

shadatA retired Shia Brigadier, his wife and two daughters were found martyred in their bungalow in Al-Shifa Colony Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Shaheed Doctor Sikander Ali Malik was the principle of the private medical college, and was residing within the medical facility’s residential area. He was the close aide of founder of Imamia Students Organization Shaheed Dr Mohammad Ali Naqvi.

Reports had it that he was also a trustee of an Imam Bargah and an active Shia notable due to which terrorists made him target.
Unknown men entered Brigadier (rtd) Doctor Sikander Malik’s home, in the residential area of a private medical centre in Rawalpindi, and shot him in the head, along with his wife Mrs Shahida Sikandar and two daughters Ms Zainab Sikandar and Ms Fatima Sikandar.

His son was also injured during the firing. Immediate medical aid was provided to him, and his condition was reported as out of danger. However, he is still unable to give a statement.

After they were informed of the incident, the hospital administration and agency personnel arrived at the scene. An investigation into the incident was under way
Shia parties and leaders have condemned the massacre of Shia family in Rawalpindi where armed forces headquarters is situated. They said that the government had not given peace a chance but they gave merciless terrorists another chance to continue genocide of innocent citizens and their family members.
MWM Chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas also condemned the killing of slain Shia Brigadier and his three family members and demanded of the immediate arrest of the terrorists involved in the brutal murder of Shia Brigadier and his family members.
