Four Deobandi terrorists of ASWJ-allied Taliban were sent to hell from Khanewal in Punjab when they tried to kill CTD officials in a shootout, officials of Counter Terrorism Department said early on Sunday.
Acting on a tip off, the Counter Terrorism Department officials challenged the terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, allies of proscribed ASWJ. The gunmen opened fire on the CTD officials and an exchange of fire took place late on Saturday night.
As a result four terrorists were killed while two to three escaped under the guise of darkness.
Two hand grenades, a rifle, a pistol and a large number of bullets were recovered from the terrorists.
