Eminent Shia gold medalist of Pakistan movement laid to rest

Prominent Shia leader Syed Wizarat Hussain Naqvi was laid to rest in ancestral graveyard in Bhakkar district of Punjab after Allama Sajid Naqvi led his funeral prayers. He was one of the leading founders of Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan and continued to serve Allama Sajid’s party Islami Tehreek Pakistan.

Thousands of people including the traders of Bhakkar attended the funeral prayers and procession. Wizarat Naqvi was himself a living history of Pakistan and role of Shia Muslims in making of Pakistan.
His party Chief Allama Sajid Naqvi lauded his services saying that the late Wizarat served under the leadership of Mufti Jafar Hussain and great martyr Syed Arif Hussain who were the revivalists of role of Shiites in Pakistan as the cardinal leaders of the Shiites.
Wizarat Naqvi was a symbol of Shia-Sunni unity and his respect among Sunnis reflected from the attendance of Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat cleric Arif Hussain Quddoosi and the parliamentarians and provincial legislators from Bhakkar district as well. Allama Shabbir Meesami and Allama Sibtain Sabzwari of the IST also attended the funeral.
