Sahibzada Hamid Raza, head of Sunni Ittehad Council, has accused military ruler General Ziaul Haq of laying the foundation of sectarianism in Pakistan and remnants of his legacy are involved in terrorism across Pakistan.
He expressed these views speaking at Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (SAWW) Conference hosted by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Latifabad Unit 8 in Hyderabad district.
Hamid Raza ruled out Sunni-Shia conflict in Pakistan saying that sectarianism and nasbis had no place in Pakistan. He criticized the PMLN government at the Centre and in Punjab for protecting terrorists.
“National Action Plan has been turned into National Protection Plan aimed at protecting the terrorists instead of taking action against them,” he said, adding that the terrorists of banned outfits were being protected under NAP that was being torn by the banned outfits terrorists.
