Shia Muslims of Karachi are observing the martyrdom anniversary of great Shia martyr Syed Askari Raza today. He was martyred near NIPA Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on December 31, 2011.
The sacred blood of the defendant of innocent Shia prisoner revived Shia activism as residents of almost all Shia Muslims areas of Karachi came out to participate in the funeral procession of Syed Askari Raza.
Hundreds of thousands of Shia Muslims staged a long rally from Incholi to Governor’s House where they staged a historic sit-in in the Red Zone area. Their nightlong mourning and protest compelled the government to meet their demands. Police had to register FIR against the takfiri terrorists.
His namaz-e-janaza was held in front of Governor’s House and the funeral procession began from there to reach Wadi-e-Hussain (AS) Graveyard on main superhighway where he was laid to rest.
Askari Raza was a Shia leader who was assisting many innocent Shia youths who were implicating in false cases by biased and pro-takfiri officials. His legal assistance to the Shia prisoners was the reason that takfiris of banned outfits ASWJ Aurangzeb Farooqi group assassinated him.
