Custodians of Indian shrine of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya missing in Pakistan

The custodian of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya’s shrine Delhi had gone missing in Pakistan. India has requested help from Pakistan in this regard, according to Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakariya.

Saeed Asif Ali Nizami had come from India to meet his relatives in Pakistan. Accompanied by his nephew Nizam Nizami, he was last seen at Lahore Airport. Reports had it his nephew was offloaded due to incomplete documents, according to a Pakistani news channel. The disappearance was informed by Indian High Commissioner.
The Indian authorities have requested Pakistan government for assistance. “All the concerned departments are looking into the matter”, FO spokesman said.
On the other hand, Indian media suggests that two sufi saints, who belonged to Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin dargah, had gone missing in Pakistan. Asif Nizami and Nizam Nizami had earlier arrived in Karachi to meet their relatives.
The two Sufi saints have been missing since Wednesday evening after attending the shrine.
