Rulers mortgaged Pakistani interests to Saudi monarchy, says MWM spokesman

Allama Mukhtar Imami, spokesman of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has said that the government of Pakistan led by PMLN’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has mortgaged Pakistani interest to Saudi monarchy by pushing Pakistan to Saudi military alliance.

“Pakistan will be bogged down into an insurmountable quagmire due to joining by Pakistan of the Saudi military alliance,” he said speaking at a gathering of the MWM Karachi chapter that was held to commemorate the 79th death anniversary of Allama Iqbal, yesterday.
The MWM’s spokesman alerted that there would be the worst case scenario for Pakistan that would be more deleterious than the fallouts of the Afghan policy of the powers that be who are still grappling to overcome the repercussions of that policy.
He said that the Nawaz-led government had acted against the unanimously adopted resolution of the Parliament of Pakistan to bow to Saudi pressure and granted NOC to Raheel Sharif to join the military alliance.
