Chief of Shia Ulema Council Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi has urged all the parties to expel the promoters of sectarianism from their ranks and encourage the promoters of common ideology of Islamic sects.
“Both Sunni and Shia Muslims are lovers of Ahl-e-Bait and they are Hussainis hence it is inappropriate to talk against each other,” he said speaking to SUC Lahore office bearers. He called for joint programmes of Islamic sects to establish unity and fraternity.
He said he played key role to end sectarianism from Pakistan. He said many innocent Shia Muslims were murdered but he didn’t blame any sect because the killers of Shia Muslims were mercenaries who didn’t represent any sect.
Allama Naqvi said that nobody is allowed to scorn any sect. He said that petty issues were created to distract Muslims from real issues hence they should focus their attention on real issues.
