Allama Hassan Zafar says Army Chief’s Parachinar visit helped resolve grievances

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen deputy secretary general Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi
has said that the visit of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his meetings with and assurances to families of martyrs of Parachinarand notables convinced the protesters to end their sit-in.

“MWM too ended its sit-in protest that were being staged to express solidarity with the oppressed and terrorist-hit people of Parachinar,” he said at a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Saturday. Ali Hussain Naqvi and others were also present.
Allama Naqvi thanked Chief of the Army Staff over his Parachinar visit his leading role in meeting the demands of the sit-in protesters. He also thanked all those who supported the heirs of victims of terrorism of Parachinar and particularly media for their coverage.
He denounced the Nawaz-led government for what he said its irresponsible attitude towards Parachinar issue.
“Political government has demonstrated irresponsibility as nobody from the government went to Parachinar to meet the heirs of the martyrs of blasts despite weeklong protest sit-in,” he said.
MWM leader said that state institutions and particularly civilian government had failed to shoulder their responsibilities because terrorists were targeting the loyal sons of Pakistan, at will.
He praised Sunni-Shia unity in Pakistan saying that the prevailing unity of Sunni-Shia Muslims defeated the enemies. He said that Sunni-Shia unity also failed those elements who were trying to turn Pakistan into a sectarian country in favour of the imperialists and arrogant powers and Zionists and their allied Arab monarchs.
Allama Naqvi said that General Zia and his remnants were responsible for the terrorism and extremism in Pakistan today. He said the MWM wants Pakistan that Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation, envisioned for future generations.
