Five eminent Shia scholars entry banned in Gilgit under unjust policy of balance

The biased administration of Gilgit-Baltistan province and Gilgit district have imposed a ban on entry of peace-loving, non-controversial and qualified Shia scholars into Gilgit. Allama Sajid Naqvi, Allama Raja Nasir and Allama Amin Shaheedi are among those 5 Shia scholars whose entry have been banned.

Office of the Deputy Commissioner Gilgit issued a list of the religious scholars namely Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, head of MWM, Allama Amin Shaheedi and Allama Ejaz Baltistani of the MWM and Allama Sajid Naqvi and Allama Arif Wahidi of Islami Tehreek Pakistan/Shia Ulema Council Pakistan.
The ban on entry of said five peace-loving Shia leaders and scholars has evoked an angry reaction from peace-loving Pakistanis who have expressed surprise that the biased officials of the state continued to pursue their unjust policy of balance under which they continued to equate the victims of terrorism with the terrorists of banned outfits.
They demanded lifting of ban on entry of said Shia scholars and demanded that only ringleaders of banned terrorist outfits who preach violence and hatred should be banned.
