Ex-Senator Allama Abbas Kumaili meets Allama Ahmed Iqbal at police station

Former Senator and head of Jafaria Alliance Allama Abbas Kumaili met Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi yesterday at the police station in Karachi where the latter has courted his arrest in protest against the enforced disappearances of Shia Muslims.

Allama Kumaili, a senior scholar, expressed his support to the legitimate demand of the heirs of the victims of the enforced disappearances who are commonly known as missing Shias for their immediate release from undeclared and illegal custody.
He also announced his support to the ‘Fill the Jails Movement’ launched by Missing Shias Release Committee under which Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi and Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, both deputy secretaries general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen have courted their arrest to express solidarity with the heirs of the missing Shias. Allama Ahmed Iqbal is accompanied by some other comrades including Mr. Jafar.
Allama Nisar Qalndari, Allama Dr Aqeel Moosa, ISO delegation, delegation from Baltistan students and several others have met Allama Ahmed Iqbal and assured their support. Allama Ahmed Iqbal hosted mourning congregation and matam on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali Zainul Abideen (AS), also.
