Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sindh belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan retired Major Qamar Abbas and others met Allama Syed Hassan Zafar Naqvi and Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, deputy secretaries general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen who had courted their arrested at police stations in districts south and east, respectively, in protest against the enforced disappearances of innocent Shia Muslims.

He said that it was violation of fundamental human rights that any citizen of Pakistan is subjected to undeclared arrest and detention without any order from court of law. He said that international law also opposes such sorts of enforced disappearances and this malpractice defames Pakistan across the world hence he demanded that legitimate demands of the heirs of the missing Shias should be met and these detainees must be released forthwith.
Allama Mukhtar Imami, spokesman for MWM also met Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi and presented him Sindh’s cultural symbol ajrak. He vowed that his party would not leave the heirs of the missing Shias alone and continue to mark solidarity with them and would make all out efforts to get their near and dear ones released.
