The Civil and military leadership of Pakistan is likely to visit Saudi Arabia on November 21, sources reported on Friday. Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (DG) will be visiting Saudi Arabia in coming week.
PM Abbasi is likely to hold a one-on-one meeting with Saudi leader.
Reportedly, the army chief and ISI DG would accompany the premier in meeting with the leader. Sources have reported that all arrangements for the high-level visit have been finalised and that both the civil and military leadership have been briefed about the visit.
PM Abbasi had made his maiden foreign tour as the Prime Minister of Pakistan in August and that too to Saudi Arabia. Foreign minister Khawaja Asif and finance minister Ishaq Dar accompanied the premier in the visit.
Abbasi performed Umrah and paid respects at the sacred shrine of Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam.
He also convened meetings with Saudi leadership and exchanged views on United States (US) President Donald Trump’s policy on South Asia and situation in the region.
