Allama Syed Jaleel Naqvi, a renowned Shia leader and son-in-law of Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has died of protracted illness in Rawalpindi. His namaz-e-janaza was held on Monday (today).

Senior religious scholar Allama Shaikh Mohsin Najafi led the funeral prayers in Rawalpindi. The coffin of the deceased was taken to Malho Wali in district Attock, his native town where will be laid to rest.
Many political and religio-political parties’ leaders and eminent figures have expressed sorrow and grief over the death of Allama Jaleel and offered condolences to Allama Sajid Naqvi.
