MWM asks Government to observe Al-Quds Day at National Level

MWM_copyLeaders of Majlis Wehdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) on Tuesday demanded of the government to observe Al-Quds Day on national level and to announce public holiday on Jumatul-Wida (last Friday of Ramandan) to mark the Al-Quds Day.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Addressing the press conference at Karachi press club, Majlis Wehdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leaders Maulana  Munawar Naqvi, Maulana Abbas Waziri, Mohammad Mehdi, and Ali Ausat appealed to the political and religious parties of the country to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine by holding demonstrations and rallies on the occasion of Al-Quds Day.

They said that the Central rally of “Al-Quds Day” will be held on Friday 3rd September from Numaish Chowrangi to Regal Chowk under the aegis of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) and Tehreek-e-Azadi Al-Quds saying the office bearers and activists of MWM will attend the Central Al-Quds Rally.

MWM leaders said that Imam Khomeni has declared the last Friday of holy month of Ramadan as Al-Quds Day to express solidarity with the people of Palestine saying that Palestine is the part of our belief.

They condemned the Israeli atrocities against the oppressed people of Palestine saying that criminal silence of the West and Muslim world permitted the Israel to continue their conspiracies against the people of Palestine.

They urged the Muslim world and rulers to play their role to end the illegitimate Israeli occupation on Palestine.
