iso_press_confImamia Students Organization (ISO) on Tuesday rejected the proposals tocurtail the Muharram processions and Azadari, *in order to control any untoward situation and said that the government should provide protection to such religious gatherings and their participants,* and warned government not to restrict ISO activities.

Speaking at a press conference here at Karachi Press Club, ISO central president Rehman Shah  said that it is the responsibility of the  government to ensure protection of the religious processions and Majlais during the month of Muharram and provide security to the mourners.

He condemned a statement appearing in a section of the press in which government directed the Law Enforcement Agencies not to allow Imamia Students Organization to take part in the Muharram processions.

He said that the agents of United States and Israel are hatching the conspiracy against Imamia Students Organization on the directives of their bosses.
