Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari called on Minister of State for Interior Sheharyar Afridi to apprise him of the problems being faced by Shia pilgrims travelling to Iran via Taftan border.
MWM chief hailed the high-level meeting called by Prime Minister Imran Khan for comprehensive security for Shia pilgrims. He said that he and his party were ready to extend all needed cooperation and support to the government to resolve the security and other issues being faced by Shia Zaireen.
The minister Afridi assured Allama Raja Nasir that PTI-led government was committed to sort out the genuine issues and he would personally visit Taftan immigration office to see their working and he would order posting of more staff there to facilitate the pilgrims. He said he would ensure provision of required facilities to Shia pilgrim.
MWM political council’s executive member Mohsin Sheharyar was also present in the meeting.
