Muslims begin celebrating Eid Milad ul Nabi, birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad
Pakistan joins the worldwide celebrations being held to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet of Islam and humanity Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God Almighty. Shia Muslims begin celebrating Muslim Unity Week to mark the weeklong celebrations.
The anniversary is celebrated as Eid festival hence called Eid Milad ul Nabi (PBUH). Jafaria Disaster Management Cell (JDC) hosts a huge congregation that mark unity of Muslims and humanity. Shia parties, including Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen also organize many events.
Main congregations and processions would be held on Wednesday 12th Rabiul Awwal but celebrations began Tuesday night across Pakistan like other parts of the world.
The religious scholars highlighting the salient features of sacred life of the infallible Prophet of Islam and Humanity and naat khwan reciting naats to pay tributes to the most adoring infallible and last apostle of God.
Buildings, mosques and Imam Bargahs are being illuminated and streets are also decorated like brides.
