Shia Muslims are celebrating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Bibi Fatima Zahra (AS) in commemoration as International Mother’s Day around the world, including Pakistan. The leader of women in paradise Bibi Fatima is revered as darling daughter of Prophet of Islam and Humanity Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God.
Imamia Students Organisation (Female Wing), Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen women wing, Shia Ulema Council, Shia Islamic seminaries and anjumans and individuals are hosting special programmes to celebrate the 20 Jamadi-us-Sani as “International Mother’s Day” like other co-religionists across the world.
Shia Muslims says Hazrat Fatima Zahra (AS) is a role model for mothers and daughters alike. Sunni Muslims also believe in the greatness of great Lady of Islam and they too believe that she is Khatoon-e-Jannat or Leader of Women in Paradise.
The women and children are hosting congregations at houses and Imam Bargahs across Pakistan to mark the birth anniversary. The houses, mosques and Imam Bargahs are illuminated with colour lights and buntings since last night.
