Iran thanks Pakistan for recovery of four kidnapped border guards

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi thanked the Pakistani government for its efforts to facilitate the release of the guards kidnapped by terrorist group.

He expressed hope for prompt release of the remaining border guards.
Iranian media reported that fourteen Iranian Basij (volunteer forces) and border guards were abducted by terrorists in Mirjaveh border point with Pakistan in Sistan-Baluchestan Province on October 15 last year.
However, five of the guards were then freed on November 15 and four more were recovered from the captivity of the terrorist yesterday.
