Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the shrine of founder of Islamic Republic of Iran and leader of Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Roohullah Mousavi who is known around the world as Imam Khomeini.
Accompanied by his delegation and the custodian of the shrine in Tehran’s Behisht Zahra (AS) graveyard, Imran Khan prayed and paid respect and homage to great revolutionary leader Imam Khomeini. He also laid a wreath of flowers on his tomb in southern Tehran late on Monday.

Prime Minister Khan was welcomed by Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, grandson of Imam Khomeini, custodian of the shrine.
Imran Khan said there yesterday that Pakistan is interested to boost economic and cultural relations with Iran and see the two nations live in peace.
He said his meeting with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was not only political; but it was spiritual as well.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, for his part, congratulated Imran Khan on his election as the country’s premier, saying that Pakistan people’s confidence is a great asset for you.
He hoped that his tenure would be a good era for the Pakistani people. Pakistan is a big part of Islamic world, he said.
