Families of missing Shias assured of support by MWM leader

Missing Shias families have been assured of support by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen deputy secretary general Allama Mukhtar Imami.

He lamented the enforced disappearance of innocent Shia Muslims and demanded their immediate release.

Enforced disappearance or the issue of  missing persons belonging to Shia community is nothing but flagrant violation of human rights.

Allama Imami expressed these views in a statement. He said enforced disappearance or the issue of  missing persons belonging to Shia community is nothing but flagrant violation of human rights.

MWM leader expressed concern over silence of the government, polity and human rights organizations on Shia missing persons.

“We have raised the issue of missing Shias at all forums. We demand immediate release of these innocent people. We back the affected families’ demands,” he said.

Shia Muslims suffering in Pakistan

Unfortunately, Shia citizens of Pakistan suffer from multiple issues even though they are neither anti-state nor separatists.

It is shockingly surprising that on the one hand terrorists and extremists continue attacks on  peaceful patriot and law abiding Shia community.

And on the other, governemnt and security agencies continue witch-hunt against them. They unjustifiably subject them to enforced disappearance.

Shia protest

Shia Missing Persons Release Committee has launched a campaign. Families of missing Shias and supporters attend the  committee’s protest gatherings.

However, it seems that government and security agencies have no interest to end victimising Shia Muslims.

Speculations had it that Saudi monarchy and US-led alliance are punishing Shia community due to their stance against wars in Muslim world.

The US and its allies have massacred hundreds of thousands in uncalled for wars in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, etc.
