No incompatibility of interest between Pakistan and Iran, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Mushahid Hussain Syed said.
He expressed these views presiding over a seminar on ‘Pakistan-Iran Relation: Challenges and Prospects.’

Islamabad Policy Institute organized the event in the context of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent trip to Tehran. Federal Minister Ali Zaidi also spoke.

Most importantly, he noted no incompatibility of interest on core issues.
However, he observed, there were concerns, mostly in security domain, which were being addressed through an ongoing and sustained security dialogue.
Pakistan will never support military adventure in the region. Pakistan will not allow use of its territory against Iran.
