Prime Minister Imran and President Putin discuss Pakistan Russia defence ties at SCO Summit

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a discussion on strengthening of Pak-Russia bilateral defence ties.
They met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. They represented their countries at the 19th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Kan expressed hope in an interview with Russia news agency, Sputnik, of broadening military ties with Russia.

Pakistani and Russian militaries are already coordinating on purchase of weapons from Moscow.

Furthermore, he noted cooperation with Russia and between defense forces of the two countries. Also, He hoped to deepen bilateral contacts.
