Saudi Arabia and United States agreed not to send aid to Yemen

Informed sources at the United Nations said that Saudi Arabia and the United States have agreed that collected aid at the Riyadh summit should not reach areas under the control of the Yemeni National Salvation Government.

Saudi Arabia, which has been attacking Yemen since March 2015 with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, hosted a meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday to raise funds for Yemen. At the end of the meeting, it was claimed that more than $ 1 billion had been raised to help Yemen.

Informed sources at the United Nations told Al-Mayadin that Saudi Arabia and the US have also agreed that the two countries should be notified before agreeing to any financial assistance.

Meanwhile, the UAE, as an ally of Saudi Arabia in the anti-Yemeni coalition, did not participate in this financial aid.According to some sources, the UAE’s non-participation in this financial aid is a sign of the failure of this meeting.

Condemning the Riyadh summit, Yemeni officials and people called it an attempt by Saudi to discredit itself after all the killings and destruction in Yemen, calling it Riyadh’s trade and dealings with the blood of the Yemenis.
