In the course of an interesting incident, the banner of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) was gifted to the mosque of Shia Muslims in the holy city of Medina.
According to Labbaik website, Amir Hussein Khorramshahi, producer of “Rawzah Rezwanâ€, a TV program on Haj, said that the banner had been gifted by the custodianship of Astan-e Quds Razavi in Mashhad to a representative group of the IRIB’s channel 5.
The group was taking the banner to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina in Saudi Arabia to be blessed and they planned to return it to Tehran, he added.
The producer said that the group was comprised a number of veterans of the Islamic Republic who decided to go to Mashraba of Umm Ibrahim and pay a pilgrimage to the mother of Imam Reza (AS), Hazrat Najmeh Khatun.
But their bus driver mistakenly drove to the Shia Muslims’ mosque in Medina where the Iranian group was welcomed by Shaikh Namri, imam of the mosque.
Finally the banner was gifted to the mosque and Shia Muslims of the holy city who warmly received it.
