“Any kind of Israeli aggression against Iran would absolutely be disastrous for Israel. If Israel were to use its nuclear weapons against Iran, it would undoubtedly lead to a greater regional war that absolutely would be catastrophic for Israel,” said American political experts.
Press TV has interviewed Brian Becker, with the ANSWER Coalition from Washington, and Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum from Philadelphia, to discuss the Israeli nukes threat.
Becker says Israel pursues a narrative to justify the use of atomic weapons, but it does not have the capability to attack Iran without risking its own annihilation.
He said, “If Israel were to use its nuclear weapons against Iran, it would undoubtedly lead to a greater regional war that absolutely would be catastrophic for Israel.”
Tel Aviv has been time and again threatening Tehran, he added, noting that neither the US nor Israel has a right to attack Iran under the pretext that Tehran might be a threat for them in the future.
Becker said Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons and does not allow international inspections of its nuclear facilities and nuke arsenals, while Iran is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Pipes, for his part, said Moshe Ya’alon, the Israeli minister of military affairs, has given a general explanation about Israel’s policies.
