The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees on Wednesday mounted massive attacks against the Saudi-led coalition and the mercenaries of the Riyadh regime, killing and injuring a number of the enemy forces.
The Yemeni army pounded the positions of Saudi military and mercenaries in the al-Alab border crossing in Asir region over the past few hours, a military source said, according to Yemen’s Arabic-language Saba news agency.
During the attacks, the artillery unit of the Yemeni army targeted and hit a gathering of mercenaries in Alab and two Saudi positions elsewhere in the area.
In another development, Yemeni snipers managed to shoot to death seven Saudi servicemen east of the Alab crossing.
The attacks against the Saudi forces came in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the coalition led by the Riyadh regime.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former president.
Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
